12 Baskets of Words of Life

Jesus frequently makes statements that show us the limit of intellect and our carnal mind.

John 7: 32   When the Pharisees heard that the crowds were whispering such things, they and the leading priests sent Temple guards to arrest Jesus.

33   But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.
34   You will search for me but not find me. And you cannot go where I am going…”
35   The Jewish leaders were puzzled by this statement. “Where is he planning to go?” they asked.
36   What does he mean when he says, ‘You will search for me but not find me,’ and ‘You cannot go where I am going’?”

How can we not just love it when the Master makes statements like that in such a context? We can only surmise that the Pharisees just walked away shaking their heads. John’s Gospel just moves on to another day, leaving the crowd and the Pharisees wondering. God is Spirit and unless one is walking in that Spirit He will blow our minds to show us the limit of intellect and our carnal mind. Do you remember trying to read the Bible before you were saved? I did and thought it was an interesting historical novel. Now that ink on those pages comes so alive when the Spirit if the Lord has given us life.

Prayer: Lord give us the wisdom of heart we need to face the situations of each day and stay true to Your plans and purposes. It’s only by Your Spirit, by Your supernatural inspiration that we understand the Truth and can communicate it as the Words of Life. When we pray, “Give us this day our daily bread” help us to realize that is that that is some revelation of You that feeds our Spirit man, and feeds so abundantly that there is enough for everyone and 12 baskets full left over.
