Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking
An urgent call to
persistence in prayer, with no time limit.
Matt. 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
A few days ago I felt the Lord directing me to read the book of Matthew. Each day since, some verses popped off the page. Today, this verse above struck me with a message of urgency. It speaks of persistence in prayer, with no time limit. We live in a time for us to put on our “INTERCESSOR” hats. No, “hats” is the wrong word, our uniform of the armor that God has given us would be more appropriate. My pastor is preaching a series on this uniform and the Lord showed me how critical it is for every Christian to be skillful with every piece of armor NOW, for we are in the midst of a war like America has never seen.
Eph. 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
The Lord inspired the founders of our nation to create a system of government that was new to the world. America was created to be the freest, most prosperous, most generous, most God fearing nation since Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden. God has used America to send messengers to every corner of the world with the message of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Never before now has America seen such a proportion of blatant evil in our Federal government. The first ever blatantly Socialist Regime, led by a puppet president, is demonically inspired to lust after power and to destroy the foundations of the American Socio-Economic and political system. This reality should drive home to every God fearing, freedom loving, American patriot the necessity of fervent, persistent prayer for our national leaders to repent and believe the Gospel, and to pray for another Great Awakening that will establish a Godly culture and government.
The Biblical path to victory is clear,
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,
2 Chronicles 7:14 if My people who are called by My name
Ø will humble themselves,
Ø and pray
Ø and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways,
Ø then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
I urge true Christians in the U.S.A. and throughout the world, to personally hear what God is saying at the heart level, to receive a personal impartation from the Father. This will instill the faith to put feet to those prayers for Revival and cause you to reflect His love and power to people everywhere, pointing people to Jesus at every opportunity.
