GOD'S HELP FOR ADVERSITY

Lamentations 3:22    Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

Are you are going through some tough “stuff of life” circumstances? Dealing with family issues, sickness, financial problems, job related issues or people problems, etc., etc., etc? There's all kinds of junk that is the stuff of life. Lord knows I’ve been through plenty.  All this stuff can make us stronger in character and our relationship with God as we practice the Presence of God in our lives as we rise above the circumstances by “mounting up with wings as eagles.” If you know someone else going through adversity, please share the link to this blog with them.

Through the years I have found His peace in many storms by remembering verses like those listed below. When we don’t take God’s way through these hindrances the enemy just adds more to keep us from where the Lord is drawing us, he is always trying to distance us from the Lord. There’s a long list of verses here but I feel like we need a heavy dose of:
Eph. 5:25   Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
26   that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,

Sit and soak in this garden tub of the Word of God. After you let these verses sink into your inner man you’ll feel ready to conquer whatever you face.

Jeremiah 17: 7   Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.
Are you hoping some person will come through? Do you expect your proverbial “ship to come in”? Like the old song says,
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face,
and the things of earth will grow strangely dim
in the light of His glory and grace.”

Psalm 91:1  He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2   I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
Read the whole Psalm when you get a minute, it’ll really increase your confidence in the Lord when in the midst of any adversity

Romans 8:28   And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
When you know that you are fulfilling the condition of this promise it’s not that hard to take things in stride, to leap over the hurdles and reach the finish line stronger. Job added an exclamation point to this:

Job 23:10   But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
11   My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside.
12   I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

James 1:2   Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.
3   For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
4   So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

Hebrews 7:19   for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

Romans 8:38   And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

39   No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
